Every Thursday in February at 9:00 pm, FX presents in Latin America the new episodes of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, the second instalment of the award winning, acclaimed limited series portraying the serial killer Andrew Cunanan, whose path of destruction across the United States earned him a place on the FBI's ten most wanted list before he murdered the international fashion icon Gianni Versace.
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story examines how cultural homophobia and prejudice delayed law enforcement's hunt for the Italian designer's killer, as well as Versace's singular relationship with his sister and muse Donatella.
The fascinating story, based on Maureen Orth's investigative book Vulgar Favors, reveals how Cunanan met the star and why the police and the FBI failed to catch him. It is a gripping account of the gay underworld of the 1990s and of a sociopath tormented by his ambitions, his crimes and the mysteries he left behind when he took his own life.
Starring the Venezuelan Edgar Ramírez (The Girl on the Train) as Gianni Versace, the Spanish actress Penélope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) as his sister Donatella, the Puerto Rican singer and actor Ricky Martin as Antonio D'Amico, the designer's lifelong partner, and Darren Criss (Glee) as the killer Andrew Cunanan, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story centres on the tragic murder of the fashion titan, one of the most exciting and provocative designers, famous for his striking creations.
