Changan ended 2024 with a 5.1 per cent global rise in sales, reaching the striking figure of 2,683,798 units sold. That growth includes a significant jump in the electric and hybrid segment, with 734,615 units sold, a 58.8 per cent increase in the category, reaffirming its position as a leader in technological innovation.
In Venezuela, Changan's performance was notable, with 1,698 units sold in 2024. The Alsvin Sincrónico led consumer preferences with 527 units sold, followed by the CS55 PLUS with 417 units and the rugged Hunter pick up, in its 4x2 and 4x4 versions, with 375 units. "We have broken many preconceptions about Chinese vehicles, establishing Changan as a solid and reliable brand in Venezuela," said Ilvimar Adan, Changan's sales manager.
With the global trend moving towards sustainable mobility, Changan plans to expand its offer in the Venezuelan market with new models in that segment. "We currently have the Benni, a fully electric vehicle," Adan said.
She also stressed the need to create conditions allowing the development of adequate infrastructure for this kind of vehicle in the country. "The approach has to change in order to move towards innovation that is already a reality worldwide," she added.

From the story
For 2025 Changan expects the Alsvin Sincrónico to remain its best selling model, cementing it as one of Venezuelans' favourites since its arrival in April 2024. The brand will also keep introducing vehicles that combine quality and price, designed to meet the varied needs of the Venezuelan consumer.
"Every vehicle we bring to the market is rigorously assessed and tested across different Venezuelan terrain, verifying that it meets the necessary requirements of safety, performance and durability before it is sold, guaranteeing how it will perform," Adan said. The brand currently has 10 dealerships nationwide and is working to open four new dealerships and sales points in 2025, where customers will be able to experience Changan with the best after sales service.
In just four years, Changan has become the third best selling brand in Venezuela, consolidating its presence in a competitive market and building a reputation based on reliability, technology and innovation.
The carmaker stands out not only for its commercial success but for its commitment to the future of mobility in Venezuela, laying the groundwork for a more modern and sustainable car market.
Changan offers the Venezuelan market the best value for money and the most forward looking design, a broad stock of original parts, the best warranty in the market at five years or 150,000 kilometres, and a growing dealer network across the country, many of which offer their own financing from 12 to 24 months. It also provides first rate service and technical support, with professionals trained by the company.
In recent years China has become the world's largest car manufacturer, overtaking the United States and Japan. Investment in research and development, along with high export figures driven by competitiveness on price, quality and technology, is challenging traditional brands and reshaping the international automotive landscape.
Chinese carmakers have formed strategic partnerships with established manufacturers such as Volkswagen, General Motors, Mazda and Ford, giving them access to the technology and experience of the major carmakers and letting them expand into new markets such as Europe and North America.
Those collaborations have allowed Chinese brands to access proven technology, offer attractive warranties and expand globally. Countries such as Mexico have introduced vehicles produced in China under their own brands, diversifying what is on offer in their domestic market.
