Vicente Passariello offers a practical guide to personal fulfilment
In his book Sin Máscara, the author draws on what he has learned alongside motivational figures such as Tony Robbins, Richard Bandler and Deepak Chopra.
With the natural, uncomplicated language that characterises his style, Passariello shares the best of what he has learned alongside major motivational figures with whom he has taken part in various events, among them Tony Robbins, Dr Richard Bandler, Les Brown, Deepak Chopra and José Silva.
In the pages of Sin Máscara he invites the reader to discover "the truth about motivation": that good intentions alone are not enough, that the attitude with which difficulties are faced matters, and that decision and discipline are necessary. But the main richness of his new book lies in setting out how to understand the way the mind interprets life's events and why that defines how we react to them, the decisions we take and the future we reach. Beyond that, he sets out life strategies for transforming experiences and getting the best from them, as well as making the most of one's belief system in order to obtain the life one wants.
Passariello devotes a chapter to analysing pleasure and pain as the emotions that form the best school, "the two teachers who guide our paths", since "we are designed to move away from pain and towards pleasure", he says.
"This book is dedicated to everyone searching to fulfil their dreams, who have been through difficult situations and do not understand why things happen," Vicente Passariello explains, "to those for whom positive thinking is not enough, because for some reason they remain stuck in the same life pattern and often frustrated and adrift." According to the author, his book provides tools for readers to "unleash their inner power, make the most of their life and take in one of its most important truths: life is empty and without meaning, and that gives you the chance to give whatever meaning you want to every event that happens to you."

From the story
Passariello proposes not only developing inner power but creating a new identity out of new patterns of thought. He uses the lives of famous historical and contemporary figures as examples to show that what defines destiny is not the environment or the circumstances but the way thoughts are focused while living within those environments or circumstances. The author finds particular inspiration in the work of the Austrian psychiatrist and neurologist Viktor Frankl, who survived several Nazi concentration camps.
"I invite you to read this book and give yourself the chance to live with me part of my story and part of what I have learned from my two great teachers, pleasure and pain. Discover the truth about motivation," Passariello urges.
