Alejandro Benzaquen's Piezas Tricolor
The Venezuelan creator turns memory and national identity into a thousand piece jigsaw with augmented reality, designed to be built as a family.
Alejandro Benzaquen is passionate about culture, art and the creative industry, and has made his creativity the hallmark of every project bearing his name, work recognised and reviewed in several languages by international outlets including the BBC. He has collaborated with globally known artists and influencers such as Lele Pons, Hanna Stocking, San Luis and Beret, among others. He also works as a model in major campaigns for international brands. Today his art takes the form of a tricolour jigsaw, ideal for building together as a family.
Piezas Tricolor is a journey back to childhood through the roots and memories that connect with the nostalgia of a whole country. Pieces that fit with the deepest part of a shared feeling, their memories completing one another. They are pieces impossible to forget. It becomes a work of art with augmented reality: once the jigsaw is finished, the image can be scanned and the pieces float out of it, offering unique interactive experiences for the senses.
Piezas Tricolor is an exciting thousand piece jigsaw that carries us back to our traditions and identity as Venezuelans, with images engraved in our memories through their aromas, flavours and sounds. Moments carried on the skin and in the soul, forming a tricolour DNA. It lets us know our history by connecting again with brands and products that are no longer with us but remain in the memory, as well as many that still accompany Venezuelans day to day beyond our borders.
With his talent and creativity Alejandro Benzaquen has put his name to various internationally known projects and has collaborated with globally recognised artists and influencers such as Lele Pons, Hanna Stocking, Marko and Nacho, among others. He has directed music videos for Joy Montana (Corazón de Metal), Reykon (La Suite) and Dayanara (Despedida de Soltera), was the first Latin American to create videos with special effects on social media, is a content creator with more than 600 million views, and designs his own clothing brand B-OWL, whose pieces have been worn by artists such as Sebastián Yatra and Cameron Dallas, as well as collaborating with Camila Canabal's brand to fuse the two concepts into a single product.
