Nicky Jam is a finalist in five categories at the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards

The singer songwriter has begun filming his series El Ganador in various locations in the city of eternal spring and his adopted home, Medellín, Colombia.

The Puerto Rican singer songwriter Nicky Jam is delighted with the surprise of five nominations at the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards, where he features in the categories of Top Latin Album of the Year for Fénix, Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Male, Latin Rhythm Song of the Year for El Amante, Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Solo, and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year for Fénix.

"I am very grateful to God, my family and all my followers for these nominations. For me Billboard and Telemundo are special because from the beginning they opened doors to me and supported me at every step of my musical career," Nicky Jam said.

Nicky Jam is in the middle of filming his series El Ganador, expected to be released before the end of 2018, which viewers will be able to watch on the Spanish language network Telemundo and on Netflix. The artist is also finalising details for the release of his new single X on 2 March, available from that moment on all music platforms and on the Puerto Rican artist's own channels. He may yet surprise us with a full record by the end of the year.
