Disco Club goes deep into Cerati's Amor Amarillo

Gustavo Cerati released Amor Amarillo, his first solo record, in 1993. Although he was still leading the band Soda Stereo, it was a moment to take other paths of musical exploration.

An album so important to music could not go unnoticed at Disco Club. The next session will therefore be devoted to this work of Latin American rock. It takes place on Thursday 15 December 2022 from 6:00 pm at La Guacamaya, on Calle Sucre in Chacao. Free entry.

Speaking about Amor Amarillo will be the poet Pamela Rahn Sánchez, the musician Kreils García and the journalist Alexis Correia. The discussion will be moderated by Humberto Sánchez Amaya.

With songs such as Lisa, Te Llevo para que me Lleves, Pulsar, Av. Alcorta and A Merced, the record became a cult object for followers of the Argentine artist. A work to rediscover or to discover for the first time.

Humberto Sánchez Amaya is a Venezuelan culture journalist who has written for outlets including Infobae, Crónica Uno, El Diario, El Nacional, El Estímulo, Alternos, Rockaxis and Gladys Palmera. He founded the culture site El Miope and hosts and produces the podcast El Miope en Radio, broadcast by Humano Derecho Radio Estación and available on YouTube, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts and Radio Public.

He is co author of the books Nuevo País de las Letras (Banesco, 2016), Nuevo País de las Artes (Banesco, 2017), Nuevo País del Cine (Banesco, 2018) and Nuevo País de la Fotografía (Banesco, 2019). In 2015 he received the Orden Juan Liscano awarded by the Chacao town hall, and in 2012 the Antonio Arráiz Prize awarded by the newspaper El Nacional.
